Please note: It is important to check the mesh between the distributor and camshaft gear when installing a replacement cam in Ford Falcon x/flow six cylinder models. These engines suffered from distributor misalignment problems predominantly found in Falcon XE and XF models. Ford had made a modification to the camshaft distributor drive gear which helped alleviate the problem.

All new blank cams supplied by Auckland Cams have a modified distributor gear which will reduce the occurrence of excessive cam gear wear.
